Dr. VanUrk practised medicine and surgery in Passaic NJ until 1940 whe ill health compelled his retirement, at which time they moved to their farm home in Uppper Bucks County, PA where Dr. VanUrk lived until his death in 1946. Dr. VanUrk received his medical education in Rotterdam, Holland, Paris, and the University of Michigan Department of Medicine and Surgery, Ann Arbor MI where he received his degree in 1896. He served overseas in Holland and Belgium during WWI.
