Mrs. Lewis Eggleton. Harrisburg. Aug. 21. [1919]—At her home in Harrisburg, N. Y., August 7, at 7:13 in the morning occurred the death of Eleanor Rirketts Bennett, wife of Lewis E. Eggleton. Mrs. Eggleton was the youngest daughter of the late Robert and Mary Ann Bennett and was born in the township of Sidney, Hastings county, Canada, October 31, 1868. On February 4, 1880 she was married to Lewis E. Eggleton of Foxboro, Ontario, Canada, where they resided until coming to the United States in 1893. Mrs. Eggleton after her marriage united with the Methodist Episcopal church, of which she has since been a faithful member. She is survived by her husband, Lewis E. Eggleton; one daughter, Mrs. George N. Vary of Harrisburg, N.Y.; three sons. Irwin B. Eggleton, Jamesville. N.Y. ; Frank E. Eggleton and Harland L. Eggleton of Harrisburg; three grandchildren, Eleanor E. Eggleton of Jamesville. N.Y., Gerald and Robert Vary of Harrisburg; an only sister. Mrs. A. J. Burton of Buffalo, besides a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at her late home in Harrisburg, Saturday August 9. The four sons acted as bearers.
